Structural Unravelling
The re-purposing and re-furbishing of our national building stock requires detailed knowledge of structural design and fabric. Unfortunately, in many cases the as-built record drawings are lost to time; so one needs to retroactively figure out what is what.
LandScope have recently completed the detailed structural survey of an iconic London “sky-scraper” including:
- Pile cap mapping
- Wall toe delineation
- Reinforcing element configuration
Using a combination of impulse radar (GPR) – including Leica DS2000 and GSSI mini LXT – and eddy-current sensors, our surveyors completed a detailed retrospective as-built survey over 34 floors.
