PAS128 2014
LandScope were recently asked to upgrade a former PAS128:2014 Type B survey to Type A. This verification survey involved limited vacuum excavation work to corroborate traced underground infrastructure.
Previous survey works failed to establish the route of the historical telecoms line to be a site office. So, until this utility had been conclusively established or eliminated from consideration, we could not progress with an upgrade scheme.
We successfully established the route, opening a slot trench across the known location so the duct was exposed. Despite the EML survey ending abruptly at a very shallow depth, further excavation at this location revealed the disused and buried cable riser
indicating that this telecoms line was no longer in active use
