Marine Team Powers On
In January we held bespoke on-land training dedicated to the theory of marine safety. In February we followed this up with a three-day session on the waves at Aberdyfi, allowing the team to put the theory into practice. They were exposed to a variety of boats and safety equipment they need to be familiar with, whether it be coastal work, a shallow river, or a reservoir on a sunny day.
All training was delivered by our Marine Operations Supervisor, Dan Stevens, an accredited RYA instructor and trainer. Dan has a lifetime of knowledge to share with our lucky team, including his adventures at the helm of the Aberdyfi RNLI Lifeboat.
