LandScope’s Journey to Net Zero
January is the time of year when the ‘G’ in ESG shines brightly at LandScope – governance of our business. We look at our goals and objectives from the previous year and analyse how we performed. We look to our ‘Interested Parties’ to explore what our stakeholders may be wanting from us as a key supplier in their value chain. We then set objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to move forward towards those goals.
With the introduction of lots of new regulations (not least the Environmental Improvement Plan 2023, Procurement Act 2023 and Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023), and the increased demands of non-financial reporting (Corporate Sustainability Reporting, UK Sustainability Disclosure Standards) we are hearing loud and clearly that sustainability and carbon management matter to our clients.
With LandScope as a partner you can be assured of a responsible Scope 3 supply chain. Our carbon footprint is verified to ISO 14064 standard, and our Carbon Reduction Plan meets the requirements of PPN 06/21. We are delighted that with dedicated focus and investment, our biogenic emissions have shrunk by 24% compared to baseline, and with a 9% reduction in overall emissions (including Scope 3) per £100K of Turnover, we are confident that we are using our carbon more efficiently.
