Interconnecting Survey
A subsea cable system is exposed to hidden risks which call for innovative marine survey techniques in providing regular inspection.
Scour and accretion evaluation is important in determining sustained depth of burial. High-resolution imaging is key to assessing condition of crossing (other pipes and cables) structures and assessing environmental risk to exposed sections, and, of course the risk of bed trawling, snagged anchors and other human meandering.
LandScope made the most of some late summer stable weather to complete the survey of the Isle of Man Interconnector system from Douglas to Blackpool, including the respective landfall sections.
