Covid-19 Policy: Working Safely
The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients, subcontractors, and the wider public is our top priority.
In response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, we have implemented our business continuity procedures to safeguard our people and operations. We will operate our projects in compliance with government advice.
As the impact from COVID-19 develops, we will continue to monitor the situation as nationally reported by Public Health England (PHE), Health and Safety Executive (HSE), and other reputable information sources such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Construction Leadership Council (CLC). We will use this information to inform any subsequent reaction to this policy.
LandScope will evolve our mitigation plans in line with this advice to ensure we continue making progress on projects with our clients wherever possible. Within the individual project contingency strategies, we are planning for all possibilities, which include the minimum level of resource and the highest level of hygiene practices required to operate our field sites safely.
We continue to advise employees on government guidance and are actively promoting preventative measures to minimise the risk of infection. These include continued emphasis upon hygiene and cleaning, encouraging remote working, implementing remote video conferencing, practising outdoors social distancing where practical.
Any employee who feels unwell or shares a household with somebody else who feels unwell is advised to stay at home, to seek advice from NHS111, and to follow the self-isolation guidance issued by the NHS where indicated.
Our focus is the safe continuity of business during this period, including short-term succession planning. Each project will have an individualised and dynamic Risk Assessment encompassing examination of the specific task, environment, and hazards present. Measures will be put in place to implement controls for any remedial risk, with due consideration for fixed working groups and PPE.
LandScope will continue to review our solutions as the situation evolves and will maintain enhanced communication arrangements with our clients to deliver projects effectively.
