Boscastle relies on channel breakwaters to protect itself from the storm and fury of the Celtic sea. Being no stranger to the destructive forces of nature, it is of vital importance the structural health of the breakwater system remains intact.
LandScope have recently been commissioned to provide its structural survey services – employing the latest geophysical, non-destructive and 3D scanning capability.
High frequency impulse radar (GPR) data informed our geophysical team of the presence of any internal voiding or other significant structural anomalies which may adversely affect this most critical of structural assets.
Early January weather allowed our survey team to appreciate the breakwater doing its job.
